What are cookies and how long are they stored?

These files are not executable and are unable to conatin viruses, spyware or any other software. They do not transmit personal information about the user and cannot access other information contained on the hard drive on which they are stored. 

These files are used mostly to store information about how you use our website to make your browsing experience easier and more enjoyable:  the user’s preffered currency and language, user recognition upon returning to ColibriArt, keeping the cpntents of the shopping cart, etc. However, the storage period for such a file is limited, and different for each file, depending on its utility

Persistent cookie files are stored for a longer period, depending on their usefulness. Cookies ensure a more pleasant, personalized visit at ColibriArt. Without them, you would have to authenticate ourselves again with each visit to our website, you would lose the contents of the shopping cart from one visit to another and you should express your preferences regarding various options for each visit.

How does use cookies?

Registration cookie files – when you register at ColibriArt, a cookie file is automatically generated which notifies the server that you are a registered user. The server personalizes the next visit, meaning it will display the message ”Hello”, followed by your username, displays the data in your account at your request, and allows us to avoid requesting contact details again if you want to comment on our blog, or for example , sign up to receive a notification when an item you like.

“Third party” cookie files are files used by the applications of other sites, installed on, when you use them. These are applications such as the Like, Tweet or PinIt buttons on the product page or the Blog. Also in this category are the cookies generated by the visitor/visits analysis software, which allow the monitoring of quantity traffic (number of visits and unique users) and quality (if the user is for the first time in the ColibriArt store or has returned, how much time the user spends in the store and what visited pages). Other cookie files are the files used for storing information related to the options of the users returning to ColibriArt: preferred currency and language, items placed in the shopping cart, etc.
